But he didn't give up and scratched, and bit, and made a general raccoon ruckus until the russians were forced to let him go. So he sprinted back across the border to Kherson where he was greeted as a hero by his fellow raccoons.
That's what the legend says. And even more raccoon is an official nickname for Ukrainian airborne assault troops.
